On August 8, 2019, pursuant to the authority granted by State of Alabama Code 45-37-60 (Act 79-454), the Jefferson County Coroner/Medical Examiners' Commission amended the categories of death subject to review and investigation by the Chief and Associate Coroner/Medical Examiners.  See resolution document below.
