Thank you for visiting Development Services “virtual” information page. With COVID-19, we have worked diligently to provide you with more virtual options to conduct business for your safety and our staff.Jefferson County, AL launched ePermitJC February 1, 2020. Currently, we have online permitting and payment for trade records, subdivisions, site plan permits, new residential and commercial construction, and all planning-type applications. Our next technology phase will include electronic plans review, and IVR with texting capabilities for inspections. IVR will allow access 24/7 to schedule and manage inspections over the phone (landline or cellular) to give you the convenience and accessibility to get your work done. IVR can also eliminate the need to visit the Courthouse to conduct business or wait to speak to staff to schedule your inspection. ePermitJC coupled with IVR will provide you with 24/7 access to apply, monitor, and view inspection results, on your permits and applications by internet or telephone. We hope these new services will not only benefit your business needs, but also keep you and our staff safe with the ongoing COVID-19 challenges.
